Financial Information

Notice: Most tournament directors and clubs will NOT need to submit a W-9 form. The IRS requires us to issue a 1099-K form for any TD, Club or Business that receives over $20,000 AND over 200 payments from If you think you will qualify for a 1099 form we will need you to submit a W-9 Form, which will give us the information we need to complete your 1099-K.

Even though most tournament directors and clubs do not make a profit running a tournament the IRS may require you to report that to them, regardless of if you receive a 1099-K form or not. Please consult your tax advisor and keep all your receipts and good documentation just in case the IRS has questions. The good news is that since you are most likely not keeping money from the tournament you won't be liable for any taxes, however, you may have additional forms to fill out when it comes tax time.

You have two options for completing the W-9 Form: An Online version or a paper version. The Online version is listed here followed by a link to download and print the paper version of the form.
